About the Artist
I recently completed a degree in both Business Management and Fine Art Photography at the University of Nevada, Reno. I have and continue to study both the history of photography and art in general. To expand my knowledge of the art world, I held the position of Assistant Editor of the University of Nevada, Reno’s Brushfire Literature and Art Journal. Through this student publication, I have learned about myself as an artist, as well as the significant standards of the art world.
I utilize the art of photography as a means of self- expression, and to reflect on my own interpretation of varying subjects and themes. As an artist, I strive to create work that is authentic, significant, inspiring, and thought-provoking. Much of my art focuses on the simplicity of shape and form, and other projects that I have created address significant issues in society. I find that photography is an exceptional expressive tool, and I use that tool to promote my own thoughts, beliefs, and ideas.
